At minimum, a decent pump and filter to keep the water moving and clean. Most ponds also benefit from a UV clarifier to control green water, plus water treatments to manage things like chlorine or algae. We stock all of this under Pond Equipment and Pond Maintenance.

Cut back on feeding as the water cools and fish become less active, and keep an eye on ice covering the whole surface, which stops gases escaping. We carry winter-specific pond food and general pond care products to help see your pond through the colder months.

It depends on water temperature. Fish eat more in warmer months and far less as the water cools, so we stock separate summer and winter pond food to match. If you're unsure what your fish need right now, give us a call.
