The airstones sit on the bottom of the pond and send up a steady stream of bubbles, which moves the water and gets oxygen into it. That helps your fish through summer heatwaves, keeps the water from going stagnant, and supports the good bacteria in your filter.

Setting it up

Place the pump somewhere dry and sheltered, above the level of the water, so water can't run back down the airline into it. Run the airline to the pond and set the airstones on the bottom, or on a shelf in winter so the deeper water stays undisturbed and a little warmer for your fish.
