We stock a wide range of aquarium heaters and thermometers, with heaters from small 10w mini sizes for nano tanks right up to 300w for larger setups. Thermometers come in a few styles too, from simple glass and stick-on options to digital and hang-on displays that are easier to read at a glance. Getting the wattage right for your tank size matters, too weak and it'll struggle in colder rooms, too strong and it can overheat a smaller tank. As a rough guide, aim for around 1 watt of heating per litre of water, though a room that runs cold or a tank in a draughty spot may need a little more. Position your thermometer away from the heater itself, so you're getting an accurate reading of the tank rather than the water right next to it.
