Rotala rotundifolia 'H'ra' – Invitro Aquarium Plant
Rotala rotundifolia 'H'ra' is a fine-leaved stem plant prized for its vivid orange-to-red colouring, which comes through most strongly under bright light and a well-fed water column. Grouped together, it builds into a soft, flowing wall of colour that brings warmth and movement to the back of an aquascape, particularly in Dutch-style and nature-inspired layouts. Supplied in a 100% sterile invitro pot by Tropica, this plant is free from algae, pests, and snails, making it a safe choice for shrimp and delicate aquariums.
Colour depends heavily on conditions: strong lighting paired with steady CO2 and iron-rich fertilising brings out the deepest reds and oranges, while dimmer light leaves the plant looking mostly green. It's a fast grower, so keep on top of trimming and replant the cut tops to maintain a dense, bushy group rather than tall, sparse stems.
