Hygrophila angustifolia 'Rubra' (Red Willow Hygro) – Potted Aquarium Plant
A fast-growing stem plant with long, narrow, willow-like leaves. Under good light the leaves take on a coppery-red tint, which makes it a striking background plant that adds height and colour to the tank. Easy to grow and suitable for beginners.
It does best in moderate to high light, where the red colouring comes through strongest. In lower light it stays greener and grows more slowly. CO2 isn't essential but helps colour and density. Trim the tops regularly and replant the cuttings to keep the background full.
Supplied potted by Aquadip. Remove from the pot, rinse off the growing media and divide into small clumps before planting a few centimetres apart.
