Cryptocoryne lucens – Potted Aquarium Plant
A compact, easy-care plant from Sri Lanka with narrow, bright green leaves growing from a short rhizome. It grows to roughly 10 to 20 cm, which makes it a good foreground to midground plant, and it spreads slowly through runners to form a neat group over time.
Cryptocoryne lucens does well in low to medium light and doesn't need CO2, though CO2 can improve growth. It is a heavy root feeder, so a nutrient-rich substrate or root tabs will help. Like most Cryptocoryne it can lose leaves ("crypt melt") when moved or when conditions change, but it usually recovers and regrows. Plant it where you want it and leave it undisturbed.
Supplied potted by Aquadip. Remove from the pot, rinse off the growing media and divide into small clumps before planting, keeping the crown just above the substrate.
Format: Potted Cryptocoryne lucens (Aquadip), ready to plant.
