Glossostigma elatinoides – Invitro Aquarium Plant
Glossostigma elatinoides, commonly known as "Glosso", is a true carpeting plant that spreads across the substrate via lateral runners, forming a dense, low mat of tiny bright green leaves. It's one of the most popular foreground plants for open, lawn-style aquascapes.
Glosso needs strong light and CO2 injection to carpet properly; without CO2 it tends to grow upward instead of spreading flat. It does best in soft, slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 5.0-7.5) at 22-26°C, and benefits from regular trimming every few weeks to keep the mat thick and prevent the lower leaves being shaded out.
