Staurogyne repens – 1-2-Grow Tropica
A fresh green, compact foreground plant that spreads by horizontal shoots to form a low, bushy carpet. Staurogyne repens has small green leaves and a very low growth habit. It grows more slowly than the Hygrophila it is related to, which makes it a good choice for nano tanks as well as larger layouts.
It suits the foreground and midground. Good light keeps the growth horizontal, and it prefers medium to high light with CO2 supplementation. A nutrient-rich substrate and a liquid fertiliser with micronutrients will help keep the leaves a fresh green and the growth dense.
This is a Tropica 1-2-Grow cup. The plants are very young and grown in Tropica's laboratory, and they are guaranteed free from snails, algae and pesticides, so they are safe for sensitive shrimp and fish. One cup holds many small plants that can be divided to cover a larger area.
To plant, take the plant out of the cup and rinse off the growing medium under the tap. Split it into 6 to 8 portions with your fingers or sharp scissors, then plant the portions into the substrate with tweezers.
Format: One Tropica 1-2-Grow cup of Staurogyne repens.
