Seachem Stability is a biological filter starter for freshwater and marine aquariums, and this 100ml bottle is a compact size for starting up a new tank. It rapidly and safely establishes the biofilter, helping to prevent "new tank syndrome". It contains a blend of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative bacteria that help break down waste organics, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, and the bacteria do not produce toxic hydrogen sulphide. Stability is harmless to aquatic organisms and plants, so there is no danger of overuse.
The bacteria are supplied in a spore form, so the product doesn't need refrigeration. It works best alongside biological filtration, such as Seachem Matrix. For emergency ammonia control, use it with Seachem AmGuard.
To use, shake well and turn off any UV or ozone. On the first day with a new aquarium, add 1 capful (5ml) for each 40 litres. Then add 1 capful for each 80 litres daily for 7 days. Fish can be introduced at any time as long as dosing is maintained for 7 days. For ongoing support, use 1 capful for each 80 litres once a month or with each water change, and whenever you add new fish or medicate the tank.
