Rotala rotundifolia 'Blood Red' – Invitro Aquarium Plant

Rotala rotundifolia 'Blood Red' is a fine-leaved stem plant grown for its deep red colouring, which develops most strongly under bright lighting and stable CO2. Planted in dense groups, it forms a bold, colourful backdrop that contrasts beautifully against green foliage and darker hardscape, making it a favourite for Dutch-style and nature aquascapes. Supplied in a 100% sterile invitro pot by Aquafleur, this plant is free from algae, pests, and snails, making it a safe choice for shrimp and delicate aquariums.

Colour intensity depends heavily on light, CO2, and nutrients: under high light with good CO2 and iron supplementation, 'Blood Red' turns a striking deep red, while lower light tends to bring out more orange or green tones. Growth is fast, so regular trimming and replanting of cut tops keeps the group dense, bushy, and full of colour.
