Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' – Invitro Aquarium Plant
Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' is a foreground carpeting plant prized for its small, round, bright green leaves and dense, spreading growth habit. Often used as an easier alternative to Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC), it forms a thick, even carpet across the substrate, giving aquascapes a lush, natural meadow-like foreground. Supplied in a 100% sterile invitro pot by Aquafleur, this plant is free from algae, pests, and snails, making it a safe choice for shrimp and delicate aquariums.
Monte Carlo spreads via runners, gradually filling in gaps to create a continuous mat. Moderate to high lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate encourage the densest, fastest carpeting, and while CO2 isn't essential, it noticeably speeds up growth and helps prevent the plant from stretching upward instead of spreading out.
