Ludwigia sp. 'White' - Unique Contrast Plant for Aquascaping

Ludwigia sp. 'White' is a stunning and uncommon stem plant, prized for its delicate, pale white to creamy-pink leaf tones. Unlike most Ludwigia species known for their vibrant greens and reds, this variety provides a soft contrast that brightens aquascapes and highlights surrounding plants. When grown in stable conditions with good light and nutrients, the leaves develop a striking translucence, making this plant an eye-catching centrepiece or accent in any planted aquarium.

Supplied as a potted aquarium plant, Ludwigia sp. 'White' is well-established and ready to bring an elegant, fresh look to your aquascape.

Prepping for Aquarium Placement:

  • Before placing potted aquarium plants into your tank, it's crucial to remove them from their pots and thoroughly rinse off the soil or substrate they may be potted in. Gently shake or rinse the roots to remove excess debris without damaging them. Trim any damaged or overly long roots to encourage healthy growth. If the plant is held together by a foam or mesh material, be sure to remove it carefully to prevent it from decomposing in the aquarium.
  • When planting in the main aquarium, consider the specific needs of each plant species regarding light, substrate, and water conditions. Secure the plants in the substrate or attach them to decorations using aquarium-safe methods like plant weights or tie them to rocks or driftwood. Monitor the plants closely after planting to ensure they adapt well to their new surroundings.
  • You can often split potted plants into 2 or 3 individual plants to spread around your aquascape.

Why Choose Ludwigia sp. 'White'?

If you want to add a rare and graceful plant to your aquarium, Ludwigia sp. 'White' is the perfect choice. Its pale tones make it a unique highlight, contrasting beautifully with red and green plants in any aquascape. Both beginners and experienced aquascapers can enjoy its beauty with the right care, making it a versatile and rewarding plant for display tanks.
