Fluval Bug Bites Holiday Food gives your fish a source of nutrition while you're away for a weekend or a week. The nuggets soften slowly in the water, giving community aquarium fish a high protein diet for up to 7 days. The water-stable formulation helps them hold together rather than breaking up.

Bug Bites are made with sustainably harvested Black Soldier Fly larvae, raised on fruit and vegetables. They are formulated to match the natural, insect-based feeding habits of fish, with added vitamins, minerals and other trace nutrients.

How many nuggets to use

• 2 to 3 days away: 1 nugget for 5 to 15 fish, 2 for 15 to 25 fish, 4 for 25 or more.
• 4 to 7 days away: 2 nuggets for 5 to 15 fish, 3 for 15 to 25 fish, 5 to 7 for 25 or more.

Before you go

• Make sure the filter is running properly and your regular tank maintenance is done.
• Test your water before and after the holiday.
• Don't use it in a newly set-up aquarium, and don't exceed the recommended amounts.
• When you return, remove any leftover food, go back to normal feeding and do a partial water change.

Try it out before you go, to check your fish will eat it.
