eSHA Protalon-707 20ml (Algae)

eSHa Protalon-707 is a two-bottle treatment designed to clear algae from freshwater aquariums without harming plants, fish, or filters. Bottle A tackles the algae itself, while Bottle B strengthens your plants so they can outcompete algae and help stop it coming back.

Protalon-707 is effective against a wide range of algae types, including green algae, beard and hair algae, filamentous algae, slime algae, blue-green algae, brown and black slime algae, and suspended algae that causes cloudy green water.

Treatment runs over a 7-day plan: dose Bottle A on days 1 and 2, both bottles on day 3, skip days 4 and 5, then both bottles again on day 6 and Bottle A on day 7. You'll usually notice results within a few days, with full algae removal typically taking two to six weeks depending on the algae type and your water conditions.

While treating, turn off any CO2 system and stop adding fertiliser, and remove active filter media such as fresh activated carbon or UV sterilisers, though normal filtration can continue as usual. Protalon-707 may kill aquatic snails, so remove them from the tank before starting treatment.

Once the course is complete, the remaining Bottle B solution can be used every two weeks as an ongoing plant boost to help keep algae at bay.
