Betta Choice Medium Gravel Washer

The Betta Choice Medium Gravel Washer lets you clean your gravel and do a water change at the same time. The valve gets the siphon going without any mouth-sucking or shaking the tube, so you can start and stop the flow easily.

Push the wide end down into the gravel and the flow lifts out fish waste, uneaten food and debris. The gravel is heavier, so it drops back down while the dirt goes up the tube and into your bucket. Work across the tank a section at a time, and go gently around plant roots.

Cleaning the gravel regularly during water changes stops waste from building up and keeps nitrate levels down, which is one of the easiest ways to keep a tank healthy. The medium size suits most standard home aquariums.

Not suitable for fine sand, which will be pulled up the tube along with the dirt.
