Anubias barteri var. nana – Invitro Aquarium Plant
Anubias barteri var. nana is one of the most popular and dependable aquarium plants, valued for its dark green, oval leaves and compact, easy-going nature. A classic choice for foreground and midground planting, it's a firm favourite for beginners and experienced aquascapers alike thanks to its hardiness and undemanding care. Supplied in a 100% sterile invitro pot by Tropica, this plant is free from algae, pests, and snails, making it a safe choice for shrimp and delicate aquariums.
Like all Anubias, this is an epiphyte rather than a substrate plant: the rhizome should never be buried, as this can cause it to rot. Instead, tie or glue it to a piece of driftwood or rock, where roots will slowly take hold over the following weeks. Growth is slow, so it's a plant that rewards patience rather than fast results. Low to moderate light suits it best, and it doesn't need CO2 to thrive, making it well suited to low-tech set-ups.
