Palm Twirls - Brush like

Palm Twirls are curled, brush-like botanical stems that add natural texture and interest to shrimp tanks, nano aquariums, and blackwater or biotope setups. Their twisted, bristly shape makes a striking addition scattered across the substrate alongside leaf litter and other botanicals. Sold individually as a single piece.

As they break down, Palm Twirls develop a fine biofilm that shrimp and fry love to graze on throughout the day, and they release mild tannins that help soften and tint the water.

Before adding to your aquarium, rinse well and boil for several minutes to saturate them so they sink rather than float, and to release any excess tannins before placing in the tank.

As a natural product, size and appearance may vary. Adding botanicals to your aquarium can affect water parameters and release tannins into the water, so we recommend regular water testing when using botanicals.
