Coconut Palm Stems

Coconut Palm Stems are gnarled, woody botanical stems that add natural texture and structure to shrimp tanks, nano aquariums, and blackwater or biotope setups. Their textured surface encourages biofilm growth, giving shrimp and other grazers an extra feeding area, and their shape creates natural microhabitats for shrimp and fry to explore and shelter in.

They're fairly inert but will impart a slight tint to the water over time, similar to other botanicals. Before adding to your aquarium, boil for at least an hour to waterlog them, as they're light and tend to float when first added.

As a natural product, size and appearance may vary. Adding botanicals to your aquarium can affect water parameters and release tannins into the water, so we recommend regular water testing when using botanicals.
